How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Quality Inspector and / or Crater, you will work as a team in the final inspection and crating of finished goods.

The Quality Inspector is a cross functional role that may test, inspect, package, and crate completed fans to meet on time delivery and exceed customer satisfaction.

Report repairs and / or issues to team lead or supervisorDeliveryAble to read job tickets, work orders, and instructionsUse of hand truck, forklift, and related devicesSecurely pack and wrap product for shipmentFamiliar with hand tools, drill presses, foam machines, cranes, and other tools used in a shop or manufacturing environmentPerform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment as neededComplete tasks as directed with minimum supervisionQualityConfirm material, sizes, and parts match job ticketsEnsure all parts and surfaces are free from defectsAble to self-monitor quality of own work, and report to lead or supervisor unusual, defective, or operating difficultiesComplete all tasks and work within designed quality guidelinesCultureDesire to do the right thingTeam player, assisting other team members and departments as needed with other duties not routine to positionPunctual, on time, ready to work, every dayWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has : Required ExperiencePrevious experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSelf-driven, able to work independently, and as a teamFollow instructionsAbility to read and interpret instructions, drawings, and specificationsStrong attention to detail and quality, working within precise limits and / or standards of accuracyBasic math skillsExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skillsEducation & CertificationsHigh school diploma / GED preferredWorking EnvironmentThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
